How to Become a Driving Instructor
If you're looking for a job that has flexible hours, pays between £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on hours and is rewarding, then being a Driving Instructor could be the job for you! You do not need to have any specific qualifications or previous experience. You just need to of had a full driving licence for 3.5 years, it must be free of any driving offences and you must be a fit and proper person, great with people and have lots of patience and we can teach you the rest.
There are 3 steps to take to become a driving instructor (ADI). Part 1 is an advanced Theory test, Part 2 Advanced driving test and Part 3 is the Instructor training exam.

Being a driving instructor is such a rewarding job, it literally changes peoples lives. As a mum of two I needed a job that gave me freedom to choose my own hours around my family life. I spoke to a few companies and chose one of the larger ones to train with. The training was fantastic but expensive and it took 18 months for me to finally start teaching which meant I had to start another job to balance everything whilst training. There were times that I wanted to give up as it was taking such a long time. Having passed my Part 3 1st time I went on to build my own business, KAR. I trained to become an instructor trainer a few years ago and have gone onto train several Instructors who are out on the road enjoying their career.

Pricing includes Course books, in car training and the chance to sit in on lessons, plus there is an option to have in car training with students and you can buy extra hours to have assistance with training your students. We can also sponsor you as a driving school to go onto a Pink Badge for up to 6 months as a PDI. I also do Standards Check training along with Client Centred Coaching skill workshops or 1 to 1 training for any ADI's.
